Eloise Young

Eloise Young began her career at PGW thirty years ago: Full-time student by day, and full-time PGW employee by night.

In 1987 she secured a job in PGW’s Information Technology department as a developer. Since then, she has held a number of increasingly senior roles on her way to becoming CIO. Today, Eloise is responsible for delivering tech services to PGW’s 1,600 employees, from processing electronic customer payments to application development and new system roll outs, along with other company management, program planning and resource development responsibilities.

In 2011, Eloise was named an Employee Chair of the Year by the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women in Pennsylvania by the National Diversity Council. This year, Eloise was selected by Savoy Magazine as one of 2014’s Top Influential Women in Corporate America. She donates time to the Green Grid, Network of Women in Computer Technology and to the American Association of Blacks in Energy, and has served as Interim President of the Board of Directors for Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center.

In addition to her professional career, she spent 7 years as an adjunct professor at Holy Family University, leading both graduate and undergraduate levels including, Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Strategy and Competitive Intelligence, Management for Information Technology and Business Ethics. Kathy has her BS in Human Resource Administration and Marketing and her MS in Information Science with an emphasis on technical competence, leadership skills and business expertise.
